PRE/POST NATAL

We offer yoga, reformer Pilates, fitness classes from pregnancy through to post birth with your baby on the mat beside you. This gives you a chance to become part of a community, and the women who meet each other at pregnancy classes, often stay on the journey together, coming along to parent and baby classes when their babies are born and hanging around for tea and cake. See below for all classes offered. We have also launched a new mum support group called MamaSpace - yoga, a women’s circle and sound healing, every Thursday 2.30pm, with Daniela Olds. We have a monthly baby sleep expert offering free sessions in the cafe, and will be offering other parent and baby workshops (baby feeding, massage, signing, post-natal mental health) from early 2025.

We also now offer a full ante-natal course for expectant parents called Birth, Baby and Beyond, with experts guiding you through a series of 6 weekly 2 hour sessions. You'll cover hypnobirthing, have time with a midwife to understand everything about birth and creating a birth plan, we've got a pre-natal counsellor to help with any anxieties you might have around birth, first aid, yoga, feeding your baby and of course the all important opportunity to connect with other local parents-to-be: in our cafe throughout the course and a final lunch at our neighbours Sodo.

Cost is £199 for 2 parents, with a discount for single parents. The next course starts end Jan 2025, please do get in touch to register your interest. Attendees also get a £50 discount on our pre-natal 3 month unlimited membership, giving you access to all our prenatal classes on this page.

In terms of when to start pregnancy classes, we advise that you wait until the end of the first trimester if you haven’t done yoga, barre or reformer Pilates before. If you do have a established practise and you want to keep on coming to your regular classes, please ensure you advise the teacher and check in advance that they are insured and qualified to have pregnant people in their class. If the teacher agrees to you participating in class, please do take responsibility for adjusting your practise (arriving 10 mins early to discuss modifications ideally), and rest whenever you need. If you aren’t sure how to adjust your practise, please do book into a pre-natal class first. If you aren’t sure if you should continue with your practise, please do check with your medical professional before coming to class.
