CPD TRAINing - FOR ALL MOVEMENT TEACHERS
Injury Management & Prevention with Catherine Weston
Injury management training for teachers of yoga, pilates, barre + movement classes including aerobic exercise + strength training. Learn how to help students manage their injuries and conditions without leaning into them causing further discomfort.
Divided into three separate sessions this training will give you a good solid foundation in injury management, learning how to adapt movements, postures and shapes working with individual nuances and life conditions.
Students arrive to classes with an assortment of injuries, aches and niggles to work around and as teachers it can be a bit of a minefield working out the best choices to offer without irritating their symptoms further. As teachers we’re not looking to fix our students, though we do want them to feel included in our classes and offer adequate options to support them.
Having a deeper awareness of types of injury, common causes and the anatomy involved will give you the confidence you need to support your students fully.
These training workshops will be held over three consecutive months to give you time to digest the information and apply it to your teaching. Each session will relate to a specific part of the body and include an overview of the anatomy involved, common injuries and complaints, considerations and best practices to apply.
You can join us for all three trainings or choose to do one or two
